The various businesses are spread around the entire country and represent a wide variety of technologies and industries.
Established industrial corporations such as the the KONGSBERG Group, NAMMO and Telenor all have extensive space activities. In addition there are several start-ups and SMEs and reserach institutions. See our member section for the full list.
Norwegian space activities are to a large extent developed through national membership in the European Space Agency (ESA), where Norway became a member in 1978. Norway also participate as a full member in EUs programmes such as Galileo, Copernicus and Horizon 2020.
Through the membership in ESA and participation in the EU space programs and Horizon2020, Norwegian companies secure their opportunities for participation in the various space projects in Europe.
Norwegian companies work closely with European and US space industry and a number of other international actors.
